Welcome!
Thank you for stopping by. My name is Edyn and I am self proclaimed grandmillennial; making grandma chic again, one quilt and needlepoint canvas at a time.
I grew up in Stillwater, OK with the most amazing mom, dad, and sister. In 2015 I headed to Oklahoma City University where I studied Political Science and Philosophy. I was a very dedicated Gamma Phi Beta and I also helped start a non-profit on my campus, Miracle Marathon, which raises money for OU Children’s Hospital #FTK.
Since I graduated college in 2019, I have gotten my MBA and now work for the State of Oklahoma doing Federal Grants Management. I live with my sister and sweet pup, Ella Rose.
I have always had a slightly eclectic style and I was a very traditional child. I loved nightgowns and loved to hand embroider. Needless to say, all of the older ladies at church and school thought I was very cute! Since then, I have always gravitated towards old fashioned charms and hair bows. Only recently did I discover that I am not alone in my choice of lifestyle. I am a grandmillenial!
Better Homes and Garden defines a grandmillenial as an “updated take on traditional style adopts old-school design trends (think: skirted tables, patterned upholstery, floral wallpaper, and richly stained wood furniture) with a fresh spin for the 21st century”.
My hope is to create a space where grandmillenial’s can come for inspiration and to share thoughts and ideas! While we might be small in numbers, we are a mighty and loyal bunch.
Thank you for reading and I hope you will find an inspiring and thriving community here!
~ Edyn
