A bag, a purse, a means of schlepping from one side of town to the other. A purse can add so much to an outfit and help complete a look. One piece of advice that I received a couple of years ago was to try to coordinate your bag with your shoes. It doesn’t need to be a perfect match but something similar enough to pull the top half to the bottom half. I tend to be a more tote oriented person as I like to have all of my possessions with me at all time. I’m weird..I know! But all I can think is “what if I need my stuff?!”.

This is one of my most favorite bags in the world so naturally I have it in both the small and medium sizes. One of the best things about this bag is it’s simplicity. You can fold it into a small little puch, it is waterproof, it has a top zipper, and it seems to be almost Mary Poppins like in the amount of stuff it could hold (perhaps I should try fitting a lamp in it?). This is an easy bag that matches almost everything and possesses a timeless style. Truly a wonderful investment and piece you can use everyday.

This is a beautiful evening bag. While it is on the higher-end price wise, it truly is an investment piece. I was lucky to receive this bag from my parents as a college graduation gift. The bag can hold a phone, carkeys, lipstick and all of your cards. It is perfect for more compact evenings and is a piece of art.

The Madewell Transport Tote is an easy, well made, and less expensive leather tote option. The leather is soft and comfortable. One thing I love about this bag is the handles. They don’t dig into my shoulder at all. I used this bag all through college and it was a really great piece.

Oh this bag… I have a love/hate relationship with this bag. It is so iconic. The print, the style, the quality, it’s one of the most identifiable bags ever made. However, with the good comes the difficult. The older I have gotten, the less I have liked branding to be loud on the pieces I own. For that reason, I don’t love the original print. Additionally, there is no top zipper. One time, on a trip to Hawaii, my bag fell over on the airplane and I lost 3 pairs of sunglasses. Maybe I am just harboring negative feelings towards this bag, but I think there are more practical and more mature options out there.

The Boat Tote! I love this bag. Specifically the one with the top zipper. I have it in both the medium and XL sizes. I love the medium for everyday use and I love the XL for traveling. You can also have this bag monogrammed which I just think is so cute and personal! This is an easy option, less expensive, easy to clean, and bottom line, cute.

This is the most beautiful bag. I have it in 2 colors, a white with blue flowers and this navy. The bag has a lovely structure and is surprisingly roomy. It is the most perfect way to make a simple outfit look more sophisticated, such as pairing it with jeans. But the bag can also hold a candle with slightly more dressy ensembles such as this pairing with my Navy Tartan Nap Dress.

Ugh. I want this bag. I love this bag. I think this bag is so cute. I love the construction of it and I don’t have anything like it in my closet. I can just imagine walking through a farmers market with this bag on the crook of my arm and holding wildflowers… I’m just waiting for the perfect moment to purchase!
