I recently added this classic Barbour jacket to my wardrobe and I really couldn’t love it more. The jacket has a very european flair which I love wearing at home in Oklahoma, especially right now with the lack of traveling. A girl can pretend she is on an adventure, right?!
The particular jacket that I purchased is the Classic Beadnell Wax Jacket in olive. The body of the jacket is a beautiful deep, rich shade of green and the collar is a lovely chocolate brown. The inside of the jacket is trimmed with a light brown flannel like material. While the materials don’t lend themselves to be the warmest, the jacket is perfect for laying. I layered the jacket with a simple gray cashmere sweater which kept me pretty warm. If it were really cold, I feel like I could add a scarf and be okay.

The jacket itself is made of waxed cotton and just requires a sponge bath to clean. With it’s cute silhouette, visitile color, and easy maintenance, this is a staple piece that is perfect for any closet. Granted, the price is high but I really do think this jacket is worth it. It is so versatile and perfect for those kinds of odd weathered seasons, moving into fall and winter and moving out of winter into spring, it is perfect for those days when you need a little something but not a whole coat. I really do think this is the perfect piece to add to any preppy, grandmillennial closet!
