When I was in college I really started caring more about my skin and the products that I was using. I had gone through 3 rounds of Accutane and I really wanted to invest in products that helped my skin and didn’t cause me to breakout. In my search to discover the best skincare products for me, I discovered something even more important… eye cream. I had never thought to use an eye cream. I was only 19, I didn’t think I needed eye cream. Heck, I had no wrinkles! But alas… I was wrong. As I was doing my research, I found several reasons why everyone should use a quality eye cream.

Eye cream can help with dark circles.
I don’t get super bad dark circles but some days, your girl looks rough. On these days, I love a cooling under eye patch and my favorite brightening eye cream. Typically, in the morning I will put on these under eye patches and use a rose quartz roller that has been in the freezer overnight. I will leave the eye patches on for about 20 minutes and then tap on this eye cream.
Eye cream can help with puffy eyes.
I don’t suffer from this badly but I do go through phases, especially when I am tired and not drinking enough water. In this case, I like using an eye cream that has caffeine in it. This helps to wake up the eyes and depuff. I usually apply the eye cream and then use a chilled rose quartz roller to blend it into the skin. It is a heavenly experience!
Eye cream can help with fine lines and wrinkles.
I’m 25 now… still very young! But I do notice that I am starting to get a few lines around my eyes, specifically smile lines. I guess it just means I smile a lot which is more of a blessing than something bad. However, I want to keep the wrinkles at bay as much as I can, especially as I continue getting older and losing skin elasticity. Even now, I use this anti- aging eye cream as maintenance.
Generally, I switch up my eye creams to assist with whatever I feel like my under eyes need. Once I finish one pot of eye cream, I assess how my under eye skin is looking and determine what it needs. The type of cream I use also changes with the seasons. During the winter months I tend to gravitate towards a thicker formula whereas in the summer, I like a lighter formula.
You don’t need to buy super expensive eye cream to find a formula that is quality! I recommend this eye cream or this balm as a great place to start. In my opinion, you just have to start somewhere to keep your eyes beautiful and bright!

Great review! Very detailed & helpful.
