With February rolling in, so too does the cold weather continue.  I am not a fan of the cold really… however, one bright spot is coats!  I think that coats can be a really fun and functional way to keep the winter months a little more fun and interesting.  I typically chose coats that are neutral in color, so I can wear them with anything, but with a fun and flirty silhouette.  I opt for coats in varying materials, lengths and styles so that I can use them to accessorize and dress up any outfit.  I love a good wool coat and I love a nice puffer, not like a crazy puffy coat but a nice short one with a quilted pattern.

Coat

There is nothing quite like a good black coat.  I think this is one of the best and most versatile coats that you could add to your closet.  I love the cut of this particular coat as well as the longer, midi length.  It keeps my legs a little warmer especially when I am wearing a dress with tights in the colder months.  The material is a thick wool and it is so warm but not suffocating.  This is a great choice for a good, classic, and basic winter coat.

Coat

For a lighter jacket, this is a great option.  It is still very warm but not as cumbersome as an actual coat.  It is also a great layering piece which is perfect if you live somewhere very cold.  The outer part of the coat is a knit fabric but the inside feels kind of like sweatshirt material which I love and it makes it feel nice and cozy.

Coat

White.  I love a good winter white.  So many people think white should only be worn from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  I, on the other hand, think that white in the winter is so striking and lovely.  This is by far my most worn coat.  I think the silhouette is so feminine and the color is so lovely and unusual lending itself to being one of my favorites.  It also has a Thinsilate shell in it so it is very, very warm.  Because of the color, this coat is also lovely for the transition from winter to spring.  I think this would look very beautiful and appropriate on a chilly Easter Day.

Coat

For a quilted option, this is hands down my favorite.  It is so warm and the best part, it is so packable.  The filler is an isolated down-alternative so if you have allergies, that is one thing you don’t have to worry about with this coat which is great!  My one complaint is that I didn’t buy the version that has a hood so… I guess I might need to add that one to my closet.

Similar Coat

I think every lady should have a red coat in their closet!  Red is such a fun color to pair with neutrals.  It allows for a pop of color while still being very versatile.  I think that red is such a strong, powerful, fun color that is absolutely timeless.  It’s also very fun and flirty!  I have had this coat for years and I still grab it from my closet on days that I want to feel powerful.
