Guys! We did it! January is finally coming to a close. I, like many others, find January to be a particularly gloomy and depressing month. The holidays are over, there really isn’t anything to look forward to, and the weather tends to be dreary. But here we are, moving into the month of February, the … Continue reading Motivation Monday
Needlepoint: A Guide to Beginning Part 1
I wanted to find something that was relatively easy to learn and would provide me an opportunity to create something beautiful while having the chance to shut off my brain for a bit. Enter needlepoint! I thought that it would be fun to share and teach how to begin needlepoint, tips and tricks, and finishing options. So without further adieu, how to begin needlepointing!
Men’s Skincare Routine
Gentlemen, this post is for you… In all my experience, the boys that I have dated never washed their faces. I always found this so bizarre considering that men tend to play sports and workout very regularly. From my experience and from polling some of my friends, we all came to the same conclusion that … Continue reading Men’s Skincare Routine
My Favorite Jeans
Growing up I loathed wearing jeans. I thought that they were so prickly and just the most uncomfortable garment to be created. I boycotted them so strongly that everyday of the 4th grade I would wear sweats to school, both comfortable and functional! Needless to say, the boys were not chasing after me. When I hit junior highschool I discovered Abercrombie, Hollister, and 7 for All Mankind jeans. This was when the game started to change for me. I found jeans that were soft and felt like I was wearing leggings, I was hooked. Since then, my jean wardrobe has grown quite a bit and I have found brands that are comfortable, durable, and fairly practical.
Sunday Scaries
As someone who has struggled with anxiety a majority of my life, I find myself trying to cope with the Sunday Scaries most weeks. If you are not familiar with this term, the Sunday Scaries are the feelings of anxiety that tend to appear Sunday afternoon and evening regarding the impending doom of Monday. While I do love a routine, finding myself thrown back into the stress and pressure of a work week can be challenging to accept. Weekends tend to be calm, idealistic, and full of things that I love and choose to do. They are full of relaxing and reenergizing experiences and habits. Once Monday rolls around I tend to feel like I am back to being in a little box that is hard to breathe in. In the midst of feeling anxious, I have tried to implement small comforts into Sunday evenings in an effort to keep myself more calm and relaxed.
Eye Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Eye Cream!
When I was in college I really started caring more about my skin and the products that I was using. I had gone through 3 rounds of Accutane and I really wanted to invest in products that helped my skin and didn’t cause me to breakout. In my search to discover the best skincare products … Continue reading Eye Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Eye Cream!
Barbour
I recently added this classic Barbour jacket to my wardrobe and I really couldn’t love it more. The jacket has a very european flair which I love wearing at home in Oklahoma, especially right now with the lack of traveling. A girl can pretend she is on an adventure, right?! The particular jacket that I … Continue reading Barbour
Lycette
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of taking a 2 ½ hour drive to West Palm Beach to visit the most adorable needlepoint shop, Lycette. With it’s charming front window display and pretty light pink walls, this is surely a needlepointers dream! When you enter the sweet brick building covered in ivy, you are … Continue reading Lycette
Weekly Wardrobe 1/10-1/16
This week was fairly busy! I went back into the office for a day for the first time in a while and it was really nice to get out of the house for a bit and feel very focused. Over the weekend my parents and I went to Florida and took a spontaneous trip to … Continue reading Weekly Wardrobe 1/10-1/16

There have been many ups and downs this year but through it all, the good and the bad, this year has been filled with … Continue reading My Favorite Things 2021
