As summer continues to pass, I am getting a bigger and bigger desire to travel. As I have gotten older, I have gotten more interested in traveling to places I haven't been before. Granted, I am an anxiety bug so the actual follow through is challenging, but it is fun to imagine exploring different places. I am fortunate enough to be traveling a little this summer but I am also spending my days dreaming of new destinations.
Family, Friends, Life, and Such
It’s been a bit since I have posted so I figured I would write a little bit of an update!
Cruisin’ the Ocean Blue
Well, my mom, sister and I did a crazy thing… we decided to go on a last minute weekend cruise and oh my goodness, it was the best thing we could have done for ourselves! The whole thing felt so normal which, after a long, off balanced 2 years, it was honestly very emotional to … Continue reading Cruisin’ the Ocean Blue
My Favorite Coats
typically chose coats that are neutral in color, so I can wear them with anything, but with a fun and flirty silhouette. I opt for coats in varying materials, lengths and styles so that I can use them to accessorize and dress up any outfit. I love a good wool coat and I love a nice puffer, not like a crazy puffy coat but a nice short one with a quilted pattern.
Men’s Winter Wear
One of my gentleman friends asked if I would be able to put together some basics for men in the winter. Naturally, I was thrilled at the notion of creating some basic and versatile looks for men in the winter months. My goal in shopping for winter is to keep things fairly basic. The cold months are challenging because you have to layer so much, especially in Oklahoma where the weather fluctuates so much. So with that, I try to select neutral colors that can be paired with a majority of my closet so I can create a myriad of outfits without too much of a struggle.
Soft Surroundings
It seems as though a majority of the country has gotten some pretty chilly weather in the last week or so. Oklahoma is supposed to get hit Wednesday and Thursday and I am actually a little bit excited! We haven’t had a real snow this year so the thought of fluffy flurries falling from the … Continue reading Soft Surroundings
My Favorite Jeans
Growing up I loathed wearing jeans. I thought that they were so prickly and just the most uncomfortable garment to be created. I boycotted them so strongly that everyday of the 4th grade I would wear sweats to school, both comfortable and functional! Needless to say, the boys were not chasing after me. When I hit junior highschool I discovered Abercrombie, Hollister, and 7 for All Mankind jeans. This was when the game started to change for me. I found jeans that were soft and felt like I was wearing leggings, I was hooked. Since then, my jean wardrobe has grown quite a bit and I have found brands that are comfortable, durable, and fairly practical.
Napdress Christmas
I’m dreaming of a Napdress christmas… Oh the viral Napdress. This one of the better creations to come of the pandemic in my opinion. Comfy, versatile, flattering and nap worthy are just a few of the adjectives I can think of to describe a Napdress. This past drop included tartans, black, and this gorgeous hand … Continue reading Napdress Christmas
