With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I find myself loving red and pink shirts and dresses and cute festive socks. While Valentine’s Day isn’t a holiday that I have ever really loved, it is a holiday that I have always thought of fondly. When I was a little girl, my mom would make my sister and I a Valentine’s Day breakfast, complete with heart shaped ice cubes. And then of course there were the class parties which was basically a big candy and cookie fest. I remember in 2nd grade I was so excited for our class Valentine’s Day party because I had this matching 2 piece legging and tank top set that had a scalloped neckline. I felt like the most adorable and festive Valentine’s Day fairy! Since then, I have toned down my style a bit but I still like looking festive on Valentine’s Day. If I were planning a festive Valentine’s Day, this is what I would wear!

In the morning, I would wake up in this adorable pajama set! I think that they are so cute. And this brand makes the best, most soft pajamas (they are 100% worth the price). I also think this mug is super cute and it is made by a small business.

In the afternoon, I would opt for slightly less traditional colors. I think this sweater is super cute and I like that it is navy rather than a bright red or pink, it provides a pallet cleaner. The navy also lends itself to not being as holiday specific so you can get more wear out of it. I also love these shoes! I have a couple of pairs of their flats, and they are some of the most comfy shoes I own. I assume these mules would be no different on the comfort scale.

For the evening, this lovely dress would be perfect for a dinner out. The scalloped detail on the neckline is gorgeous and is the perfect homage to my 2nd grade self! I love the midi length and it would be great if the weather is a little chillier.
Valentine’s Day is such a lovely time to express your appreciation to those you love! Why not do it in style?!
