I don’t know why, but I have been in love with lavender lately. Generally, I find the scent to be a bit too strong for me but I have been obsessed! Not only does lavender have a beautiful scent but it also has health benefits.
Coffee Syrup

My first discovery was using edible lavender in a simple syrup and just how delicious it is! It’s so easy to make and I love using it in the mornings. All I do is add sugar and water to a pot. I then add a nice handful of dried lavender blooms to the mixture along with a splash of vanilla. The mixture should come to a boil and then strain to remove the flower pieces. I have been using this syrup everyday and I really do love it.
Epsom Salt

I only take baths, really. Showers bother my skin and even though they tend to be faster, I just can’t sacrifice comfort for speed. I love adding epsom salt to the tub because it makes the water smell so good. It’s also so calming and lavender makes me sleepy. It adds to the perfect nighttime ritual and helps me wind down after a long day. Just a little scoop in my bath makes a world of difference.
Lavender Oil

I love using lavender oil in my diffusers! This is a TMI, but I sometimes get nose bleeds in the winter because of the heat used indoors. I dry out so badly and as a result, my nose gets very unhappy. By using a few drops in my oil diffuser, I find that my moister barrier stays happier. Plus, it makes my room smell divine!
